This week wraps up my second course of the Digital Learning and Leading Program, EDLD 5303. This course gave me the opportunity to do the following:
-Learning Manifesto -Learning Communities (PLN)
I definitely did not foresee how much time I would spend tweaking the organization and aesthetics of my eportfolio. It was very frustrating to end some days with what appeared to be exactly what I started with. This reminded me of the days I would spend hours rearranging all of the furniture in my classroom, only to end up with the same layout I originally had. While it was frustrating in that moment, the hours I spent experimenting with my eportfolio were definitely not a waste, learning happened every step of the way. I am happy with what my eportfolio currently looks like and consists of, but the best part is that if I change my mind a few weeks down the road, I always have the option to change it!
This eportfolio will be used to house my evidence of learning for the remainder of the courses in the DLL program, but I also plan to use it beyond that. I am starting the get the hang of blogging and look forward to keeping track of my learning/teaching experiences via this platform. This will help me become a digital leader by leading by example. If I stress to others the importance of reflection, it is only fair that I share my reflections with them. Knowing myself, I will probably experiment with different presentation tools in order to kept my eportfolio interesting. In addition to incorporating those tools into my websites, I will be reviewing them on my blog to give other educators insight into these tools. My blog will allow me to easily share my experiences and reflections with fellow educators from all around the world.
